So, here is a catch up blog.
Grampi came to visit way back in October. Obviously my blogging has sucked lately, so I haven't posted about it yet.
It was so fun to have him here, one of the things we did was go to San Antonio! So here we are, traveling to San Antonio.
Self portrait, trying to keep myself entertained in the back seat. (It's so far in the back it's hard to hear conversations in the front. So I was forced to entertain myself on the drive down)
And, I took some pics of my love too :)
In San Antonio, one of the things we saw was the Alamo! We also got to see the Riverwalk, which I'd been to once before. But we took a boat ride this time too, which was really neat to see more of the city that way.
Before Grampi left, we took him to Chuy's, one of our favorite places to go.
It was so fun to have Grampi here, he loved meeting the Sansom's (my future in-laws) and they loved meeting him too. I loved having him here to spend the time with him, and get to show him around where I'm living and all of that. I'm hoping more family will come to visit too! (hint, hint)
So, then skipping ahead to November. I got to go home for Thanksgiving! It wasn't in the original plan. The original plan was to go with Tres and his family down to their family property to spend Thanksgiving with a whole bunch of the Sansom family.
But Alex decided to go home this year, because he finally had enough time off (and no show) so he could go home, and Janna got to thinking that it wasn't fair that we all weren't there. So with some talks with mom, Janna convinced her to fly me home. Next thing I knew, mom was calling me with the credit card number to book my flight. I was thrilled!
So, this is Matt and Gunner (his Frat's dog...but really it's his) Really good dog. Sweet as anything and smart.
Dad and I :)
Alex and Grammie
The table, beautiful!

Loving my sister for getting me home for Thanksgiving :)
Mom cooking up yummy food!!

It was so fun to be home, and since I get to go home at Christmas, and then again for my wedding in March--I get to be home a lot, and it's great! I'm enjoying every moment of it.
And for you cat lovers out there. I thought you'd like this picture. I walked into my room the other week to find this:
Also, mom and dad just visited last week! Sadly, I did not get any pictures while they were here. It didn't even cross my mind. Mom got a few pics on her phone. But mostly we just all visited with each other. The purpose of their visit was really to meet Ira and Judy, and spend more time with Tres. So, mostly we just all spent time together. It was great, and everyone got along so well, as I figured they would.
It was so fun to have mom and dad all to myself for a bit, and to get to introduce them to my family here.
And....(music please) while mom was here, we ended up finding my wedding dress!! We did not intend to purchase a dress, but we just figured we'd go looking for ideas--so that when we go to our 3 appointments in Maine we'd know what we're looking for. But...we ended up finding THE dress. And when you find the dress, you find the dress, and you can't pass that up. No, I'm NOT posting pictures on the blog. You have to wait for wedding photos. But it's perfect, and beautiful, and very me. On top of that, we got a great deal on the dress, and got a whole bunch of other accessories for free or a discount! Shoes, veil, tiara, pillow, basket, garter....I got it all! So, to you family members reading this thinking "ah...I have to wait until the wedding??" Have no fear. If you're going to see me at Christmas in Maine, then you get to see the dress. We've shipped it to Maine so I can show it off to you all :)
