Cabinets

Before I get to the cabinets...I have neglected to tell you that we have a new neighbor already.  So here's the front of our house from the road.  You can see the house being built on the right.  We're so glad actually, because that lot was looking so ratty.  It had junk all over it, and cedar trees that needed to come down.  So it looks so much better with a house.  It looks as though it'll be a nice house too!  The guy who is building it is a builder.  We haven't met them yet, but I guess they're christians which is cool.  So we're looking forward to meeting them at some point.  Their house is going up so quickly!

This is looking from our front yard.  So they have the corner lot on our street, and actually their driveway is going out onto the other street. So we're looking at the back of their house.

And look, Dad.  He's using some old barn timbers!

Anyway, so on to our cabinets!

Here they are.  Or most of them anyway.  Piled into the kitchen.   A lot of them were still in the garage.  Couldn't fit them all in the house at once.  Well, at least not in the kitchen.

All for different rooms and spaces

Kitchen ones starting to go up!

A wider view of them all in the kitchen

So you can see where our fridge will be on the left, and where the stove, dishwasher and microwave will be to the left of the window

When Tres and I were giving a tour to my friend Nicole and her son Tristan, we had a visitor in our back yard!  There was a doe too, but I didn't get a pic of her in time.  But isn't this cool????

This is Ira and Judy's kitchenette.  They'll have a microwave in that space, and a fridge to the right of the cabinets.  Eventually there will be a stove in there too, to the right of the fridge.

Front bathroom.  Cabinet above the toilet

And where the sink and mirror will be.

Our bathroom (still waiting for it to be repainted)  My sink will be on the right, and Tres' sink will be in that space on the left.  His obviously needs to be open underneath so he can get up to it.

Towel cabinet.  yes...this will be full of towels.  We go through a LOT of towels on a weekly basis.

It was hard to get a good pic, but this is the cabinet above my toilet, which is in that little room to the left in the picture above.

My tub!  Getting ever closer to its home :)  I don't know if I mentioned it before, but my tub arrived broken.  Something about the motor was broken so delayed the hooking up of it.  But it has since been fixed and should go in this week.

I stood in the shower to get this photo.  So you can see the whole set up of our bathroom.  The towel cabinet is on the left, followed by our sinks on the right.  It'll all be connected once the counters are done.

And my vanity in our bedroom!

So we're looking forward to a lot more changes this week.  Including the bathroom tiles.  They've all been purchased and are sitting in the garage.  Awaiting all the cabinets to be installed...which they are now.  So we're hoping that will all happen this week.

Shouldn't be too long now!
