Laura's visit!

So--almost a month ago now....Laura visited me!!! I'm finally getting around to blogging it.

Loving on Blue--who doesn't look too thrilled with being loved on. In fact, he loves Laura, he just doesn't look like it here. lol

Here is Laura in front of a guitar, which is in downtown Austin.

We decided while she was here that we should go and see the bats fly. Millions of bats live underneath the Congress St bridge. And every night at sunset, they head off for their nighttime feeding. People gather every night to watch them. It's a natural phenomenon. So anyway, we got downtown a little early, and went to a coffee shop that my high school friend Jon (who also lives in Austin) introduced me to. We enjoyed a break from the heat (it was a very hot night), and then headed down to the bridge.

Lots of people in the water, what a great view to watch the bats. There were tons of boats. So many that I couldn't get them all in one shot!

The moon was shining brightly as the bats were flying!

This stream of bats goes on and on and on for at least 10 minutes. It's crazy! But really fun to watch.
