So, you already know how our morning started off. The man who checked us in saw that Dad's passport was expired, which was a complete surprise to all of us, especially to Dad.
Matt took this picture of Mom on the phone with Dad when he raced home back to Freeport to get his birth certificate.

The man who checked us in, he is the one told Dad to get his birth certificate, and come back to see him and he would get him on the plane. And he did!

Our plane was only 2 weeks old. Brand new! We started calling it "Airplane Titanic"...which of course Mom did not like. :) So, is this an iceburg??

We finally made it to Sint Maarten! This was the view from one direction from our room. We had a 180 degree view like this. It was just breathtaking! And yes, the water really is that blue.

We went out to dinner at a Roadside Grill across the street. That was the first time we realized that BBQ is a big deal down there. Not only a big deal, but absolutely delicious. Especially the ribs. Their ribs are just amazing.

And here is a short video, of our plane ride, and first dinner on the island!
